POLSKI JEST COOL - THE INNOVATIVE COURSE FOR TEACHING POLISH AS A FOREIGN LANGUAGE

NOW AVAILABLE IN THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA!

On June 19, 2023 in Brooklyn, New York, the workshop "Polski jest cool, or how to make Polish language lessons at a Polish community school more attractive?" was held as part of the conference "Polish language abroad - challenges and prospects" organised by Centrala Szkół Dokształcających w Ameryce.

The workshop was led by Mrs. Marzena Porębska and Ewa Piotrowska-Rola, authors of textbooks for learning Polish as a foreign language Polski jest Cool.

Numerous teachers from Polish schools associated with the Centrala Szkół Doszkalających w Ameryce learned how to quickly prepare their own materials for lessons, and how to use ready-made games and activities available in the methodological framework of the course.

The participants had a great time, playing games and doing various activities with playing cards, flashcards and word cards during the workshop. All these accesories help students learn by making use of kinesthetic techniques, auditory and visual memorization.

On their own example, the teachers found out that the most effective way to learn is to have fun at the same time.

All of the games and activities presented are part of the Polski jest cool course. The participants were presented with printed copies of Polski jest cool A1/part I. Student's Book and Workbook, as well as with a limited access to the interactive edition of the book.

The ideas fot classroom activities and ready-to-use photocopiable materials you will find in Polski jest cool A1 . Teacher's Guide and Polski jest cool A1.Games and Activities.
