REVIEWS

The second part of the "POLSKI JEST COOL" textbook, intended for the A2 level, is the next instalment of the excellent series for learning Polish as a foreign language. The latest publication is a faithful continuation of the previous part. Like the entire series, this textbook is also characterised by clarity and consistency - qualities which cannot be overestimated. They provide an extraordinary comfort of work for both students and teachers.

The advantage of the textbook is also broadly understood modernity and practical approach. The language of the texts and recordings is natural. The topics are embedded in everyday life and attractively presented. Students learn the material in a very structured way. Lessons are designed in such a way that a given topic correlates all language skills, and learners can assimilate even the most demanding issues in an accessible way.

Each grammar issue is presented clearly and gradually, and additionally presented in the most natural thematic approach in texts and recordings. It is an extremely practical and communication-oriented solution.

In addition, the textbook is one-of-its-kind on the market. The authors are aware that it is worth reminding the basics at every stage of learning, remembering that they should appear in terms adequate to the A2 level. Thanks to this, both parts of the A2 textbook are irreplaceable not only for students continuing their education, but also for the Slavic groups starting their adventure with the Polish language, as well as the so-called false beginners.

To sum up - working with the textbook is a pleasure! It remains to be hoped that the authors will continue the series and, in the future, we will see such successful textbooks for levels B and C.

I have been waiting a long time for the second part of Polski jest cool A2. The Polish publishing market lacks well-developed materials for this level. The book, which I had the opportunity to test, is an excellent working tool both for teachers of Polish as a foreign language and for students. The biggest advantage of the entire Polski jest cool course is, above all, its simple form, which makes the textbook work well with students from different cultures, not only the Slavs.

Grammar is introduced in the form of cleverly designed exercises which guide students to the rules themselves. Workbook exercises are great for both revision and homework. The recordings are the perfect complement to the textbook, prepared with particular care for the diction and pace of the lectors' speech.
